Starting today, November 15, 2025, I’m implementing a new policy regarding my personal interactions within the TI economy. I will no longer engage in one-on-one direct messages (DMs). All communications with me must occur through group chat or public forum threads. This decision is based on my experiences with individuals who misuse these communications to waste my time.
Earlier this week, I encountered a perpetrator, which was a unique situation. Following this, another individual in the TI community changed their phone number and simultaneously lost their voice. This change makes it impossible for me to confirm their identity. Moreover, they began sending me strange messages, although they communicated differently with others. This inconsistency is a significant red flag and has caused confusion and unnecessary drama within our community.
Each person’s experience with psychological operations (psyops) can vary. For some, their internet content remains unchanged. In my case, however, the content is altered to specifically target and troll me, appearing only on my devices. Alternatively, sometimes what looks like an innocent commercial ad is part of a psyop affecting me and others, though it may not be evident to others.
For those familiar with online psyops, you’ll understand the nuances I’m referring to. However, for others who haven’t noticed or experienced this, it might be challenging to grasp. This complexity makes it difficult to explain to someone unfamiliar with psyops why an individual’s communication style changes with me but not with others. Ultimately, a perpetrator remains hidden longer to them than to me, perpetuating drama within the TI community.
Due to these issues, I am changing my policy to no longer open any of my DMs. If you need to communicate with me, please do so within the group chat or Quora thread.
For instance, in the past, sharing personal phone numbers was a reason to DM me on Quora. I do not need your phone number. Therefore, we do not need to DM anywhere. Quora DMs are not encrypted, and telecom communications, e.g., SMS and phone calls, are also insecure.
I understand many of you claim not to be tech-savvy; however, it’s 2025, and using chat apps is straightforward. If you are a TI, you have endured far worse and can download the Signal app and join the group chat.
The TI economy has its own app as well, which you must join to fully engage with the community. This is crucial for building trust within our ecosystem. Text messaging is insecure and susceptible to impersonation due to the technology’s nature.
Moving forward, the best way to participate in the TI economy is through the app and Signal, and nowhere else.
Given these considerations, I will no longer engage in private DMs. This policy will prevent perpetrators from presenting themselves differently to different targets, which causes confusion. By keeping all discussions in the group chat, everyone’s identity, including mine, remains transparent. This openness ensures that any disagreements are addressed publicly, allowing everyone to make informed decisions on how to proceed and resolve issues. This approach is a much better way to build trust among us.
The TI economy has zero tolerance for human traffickers.
